Moving Right Along...

I am 33 weeks and 6 days preggers - 34 weeks on Friday.
Today's doctor visit went well.
The babies heart rate was 143 and he is still positioned well - head down.
However, I have had a ton of hard movements and turning through out the last 24 hours, I guess he's just settling in. He has dropped some but is not totally into the pelvis yet. All new symptoms I reported were deemed normal for this stage of pregnancy.
Just thought I'd share the latest report with everyone.
I am starting to feel pregnant now, most days are still like the good ones I've had all along but there are a few I don't feel so hot ones sneaking in.

Our first Baby Shower & Weekend in PA!!!

As promised here's a little update from our trip to PA this past weekend. After slight car trouble delays we made it up safely and had a GREAT time. Thank you to everyone who joined together in support of us and this new baby! We love you all!

Here we go...

Welcome to the most snow you've ever seen in your life!!!
Here I am in front of my precious Kettering in-Laws home with snow mounds waist high on either side of me. It was a little crazy for this southerner. This was our first stop once we got into town.

Then we all snuggled in for a night in at the condo. B&K joined us and we enjoyed or shall I say pigged out on an array of YP's Stromboli, pizza and subs then had lots of dessert and celebrated all of the February/ March birthdays.

Saturday was our big day.

We got to the shower location; it was roughly 28- 30 degrees with loads of snow filled fun and wind. That didn't stop us...it was time for a party!

Inside was warm and toasty with out any detail going unnoticed. Right down to the Hershey Kiss balloons, personalized T-shirts for MK & I and tons of baby boy teddy bears.

We ate yummy food and played games, such as guess the belly size and baby bingo. There were some great prizes involved! Not hiding anything these days...the belly circumference was 41 inches! Too bad they didn't measure my ankles or shall I say "cankles"? Ha!

The next day ( Sunday) was incredible as well. We met up with MK's Dad, step-Mom and grandmother for brunch in the round dining room at Hotel Hershey. A once in a lifetime adventure filled with over the top food and CHOCOLATE!!!

It was an honor spending Valentine's Day with the people we love most!

We continued to celebrate Babies and birthdays!

Mrs. Kettering ( Grandma "K" or Mary) is the sweetest lady ever and reminds me a lot of my grandmothers. She is still more energetic at 91 than most people my age absolutely full of life. Baby Boy Kettering will be her 21st great-grand child and I fail to recall how many grandchildren and great great grandchild she has. This was her with the chocolate she is saving for her Valentine's Social this week. We love her and I hope I can be as blessed as she is some day! By the way---she put us all to shame at the dessert station on the buffet- this lady knows and loves her sweets! Here's a sample plate from our table!

We were all stuffed teeter tottering on the edge of sugar coma's by this point but were still up for a little more photography.

As the boys were itching to return to the condo for the 2010 49 hour Daytona 500, I was barely taking it all in at Hotel Hershey with my eyes propped open by tooth picks. This is a wrap from our fun filled weekend in Hershey. We enjoyed the rest of our Sunday as we rested up for our ride down south on Monday.

Thanks again for everything- we had a grand time!

Excitement Level is Rising!!!

Can you believe it's February 2010 already?
Happy Early Valentine's Day!
That also means it's time for our first baby shower.
We'll be traveling to PA this weekend to visit MK's family and have our first baby shower on Saturday.
It is hosted by my dear Step-Mother-In-Law, Karen and her sweet sister Jan.
Even though I don't really enjoy being put on the spot in front of everyone I still can't wait to see many friends and family from MK's home town and get to Oohh & Aahh over baby things.
We will also get to attend Valentine's Sunday Brunch at The Hotel Hershey; this is something MK and I have always wanted to do! Just, how much chocolate one pregnant lady can handle anyhow? I see visions of sculptures and fountains dancing in my head!
We're so thankful to have the support system we do and we both appreciate it dearly!
More to come on this after our trip. Please, keep your fingers crossed for me and the baby while traveling--- crazy things have been known to happen once I cross that Mason Dixon Line!
Oh yea...one more thing.
Tonight is our first "Birthing Class".
I'll let you know how it goes!

Identity Crisis

This blog is going through an identity crisis!
Sorry for all the changes but I can't find a "look" that I like and one I don't have to change with the seasons, because quite frankly my time is being spent nesting in other areas of The Kettering Cottage.
I'm turning to you...what do you think about this look? Yea? Nea?
Please bear with us KeTtEriNg kRaZieS as we find a new "outfit" that pleases the pregnant lady.
